PT. Indonesia Taroko Textile (Inta-Tex) was established in 1990 to produce finished fabrics for Indonesia's booming garment industry and for export to global markets. Like Indonesia itself now being transformed into an industrial nation, Inta-Tex is geared for growth, constantly expanding production, product ranges and markets to meet the challenges of the global economy.

Inta-Tex is a joint venture between Taroko Textile Corporation, a Taiwanese company with 20 years of experience in textile manufacturing, and the Tjia Lam Seng Group of Indonesia. Based in Purwakarta, West Java, close to abundant supplies of clean water, power and skilled labor, Inta-Tex began commercial production in 1992 with a capacity of three million yards per month.

By 1996, Inta-tex produced five million yards per month of finished fabrics, mainly basic items. Subsequent installation of specialized looms and dyeing machines enabled Inta-tex to accommodate constant changes in orders and smaller-scale custom production runs.

The Inta-tex product range currently includes quality nylon and polyester fabrics with a wide variety of colors, textures and properties. Customers include Adidas, Marks and Spencer, Nike, Reebok and many other global brands.
